Live with vibrant health, abundant joy, and unshakeable peace

by Michelle Ogden, CFP®, CRPS, CKA®, Founder & CEO, Wealth Advisor

As a wealth advisor, a big part of what I do revolves around managing money. But true wealth goes far beyond the numbers on your financial statement. It includes faith, family, friends—and health.

We’re all going to leave this earth someday. Until then, let’s live with vibrant health, abundant joy, and unshakeable peace. That means being intentional about stewarding our health and our wealth.

God’s Word reminds us that are bodies are his temple, worthy of care and investment. At Ogden Wealth, we have implemented a Kingdom-minded plan to help our team members show up as their best selves in work, in life, and in the impact they have on others.

I’m sharing this with you for two primary reasons. One, I want you to know that we are doing all we can to provide you with superior service, and we can only do that if we are consistently functioning at our best. Two, I hope you will be inspired to apply these or similar strategies in your own life and workplace.

Elements of our Health is Wealth initiative include:

Wellness Wednesdays. Once every quarter, each team member gets a paid day off to take care of themselves. That’s four extra paid days off per year. It’s not just a day to sleep in and binge-watch videos—there’s accountability attached. Our team members are expected to spend their Wellness Wednesdays doing something proactive for their health, whether it’s seeing a healthcare provider, taking a class, going on a hike, meditating, journaling—whatever they need. And no, it doesn’t have to be a Wednesday—we just like the catchy alliteration.

A quarterly thirty-minute in-office wellness break. Once a quarter, we bring someone in to provide a wellness break. For example, we’ve had a massage therapist come in and do chair massages. We encourage our team members to suggest ideas for this so we can not only relax but also expand our horizons.

Monthly challenges with prizes. We are encouraging one another through friendly competitions, such as giving up sugar and doing a digital detox. Each month has a theme. The prizes are modest; the point is the mutual support and recognition of success.

Personal growth fund. Each team member is allocated $100 a year that they can spend on anything that enriches them, such as a book, a class, or fitness gear.

Beyond these specific programs, we keep our office kitchen stocked with healthy snacks and beverages. We do group outings and activities to grow individually as we strengthen our mutual bonds. We look for ways to support each other so that we can support our clients better.

This is more than a benefits package, it’s an invitation to live differently, to pause, to breathe, to refuel, to remember that your work here truly matters, and so does your health, joy, and walk with the Lord. That’s why, once we have fine-tuned our Health is Wellness initiative and made it specific, measurable, and achievable, we will share the fruit of taking extraordinary care of ourselves and roll it out to our clients. Look for that in 2026.

We can’t take our money with us, but we can send it ahead in how we steward it today. Join us as we create a legacy of true abundance for ourselves and generations to come.
